INTERNATIONAL CHESS OPEN HALKDIKI 2007

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Chess Club “A.M.O. Galaxias” announces the International Open Chess Tournament Halkdiki 2007”, which will be held with open participation and nine (9) rounds swiss system. The tournament will be held in Hotel Pallini Beach, in Halkidiki, April 28th^th to May 5^th, 2007. The tournament will be held with time control for each player 90 minutes and increment + 30’’ per move. The FIDE system rules are valid. The tournament will be FIDE rated.

Participants with FIDE Rating 2200 - 2300	30 €
Participants with FIDE Rating over 2400	0 €

CUPS – MONEY PRIZES:

There will be given cups to places 1-3, concerning the categories of General Standings, the Women standings and the players without International FIDE Rating.

The total entry fees will be shared to money prizes and it will be divided in case of equal standings. In case that a participant is eligible for two or more money prizes, he will receive only the highest. The money prize can be raised with a latter announcement.

OFFICIAL HOTELS - RATES

Accommodation and board will be provided at G-Hotel Complex. Participants have three different choices inside the Complex. Athos Palace (****), Pallini Beach (****), Macedonian Sun (***) . Bookings are made only through the Organizing Committee (fill registrations and bookings forms).

For Hotels bookings please fill the reservation form you can find in the official site www.gamesfestival.com or in www.fide.com . The room booking are valid with the payment of the 30% of the total cost

Lodging for players, coaches and accompanying persons will cost per room, per day HB (includes breakfast & one meal in buffet): For the second meal, participants will have plenty of choices within the hotel complex.

The room rates are valid for bookings until the 1^st April 2006. For bookings after this date there is a10% additional charge in the following rates

PARTICIPATION - CONTACTS:

At the moment of registration (until 16^th March 2007) the amount of 40 euro (entry fee) + 30% of the total accommodation cost + 60 EUR transportation cost (if required) must be transferred , free of bank charges, to the following bank account of the Organizing Committee for each participant or accompanying person.
