Evgeny Alekseev Russian Champion 2006!

The 59th Russian Championship Super Final (Category 16) took place in Moscow between the 3rd and 15th of December 2006.
Evgeny Alekseev and Dmitry Jakovenko both finished with 7.5/11, so a tie-break match was played to decide the champion. Alekseev beat Jakovenko 1.5-0.5 and won the title of Russian Champion 2006. Ernesto Inarkiev took the 3rd place with 7.0/11.

The Women's Russian Championship Super Final 2006 took place between the 1st and 12th of December 2006. Ekaterina Korbut is Russian Champion 2006.
