The Young Masters Tournament took place at the Casino de Montbenon in Lausanne (center of the city - 300 m from the railway station) from 14th-19th of September 2005.
The participants were: Andrei Volokitin (GM 2679 -UKR), Hikaru Nakamura (GM 2660 - USA), Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (GM 2646 - AZE), Pentala Harikrishna (GM 2645 - IND), Magnus Carlsen (GM 2528 - NOR), Maxime Vachier Lagrave (GM 2527 - FRA), Nana Dzagnidze (WGM 2438 - GEO), Elisabeth Paehtz (WGM 2421 - GER). In parallel two other tournaments will be played called : Maitres contre Espoirs and Open
General.
