The 11th and
final round is completed with the star of Shakhriyaz Mamedyarov shining
bright and with China and Russia having the monopoly of the top positions in
the final standings. At the closing of the WYCC 2003 we certainly have the
strong feeling that we actually watched play and met some of the future
elite chess players. Finally, we should note once again the record number of
1700 accreditations for the WYCC 2003.
