Astana Super Tournament

In the period of May 20 - June 1 Astana City, the new capital of Kazakhstan will host an International Super Tournament dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence.  The games will start at 3 p.m. local time (GMT +6). Venue: Astana City.
Participants:  Vladimir Kramnik, Garry Kasparov , Alexander Morozevich, Alexey Shirov, Boris Gelfand, Darmen Sadvakasov.
Technical support of the LIVE Internet display will be provided by FIDE COMMERCE INTERNATIONAL, every day at 3 p.m. local time (GMT +6).

Kasparov's revenge
Kasparov beat Kramnik in the last round and finished the tournament with a half point ahead from Kramnik (See the final standings).

Kasparov.com reported: Garry Kasparov finally broke down the Berlin wall! He arranged his rooks and knights in the center and put heavy pressure on the champion's position after a pawn sacrifice. For quite a while Vladimir defended precisely, but the game's fate was determined by time-trouble and Kasparov's extremely accurate play. It was Garry first victory (at standard time controls) over Kramnik since 1997. Alexei Shirov confused Sadvakasov in an endgame (after the Kazakh refused a repetition draw), and Boris Gelfand held Alexander Morozevich to a draw and secured third place in the tournament crosstable.
