Michael Adams won the "Grand Prix de Bordeaux 2000" a two day knockout
event featuring Tkachiev, Lautier and Fressinet also. The event took place
6th-7th April 2000. In the semi-finals Adams beat Fressinet 1.5-0.5 and
Lautier beat Tkachiev 2-0. In the 3rd-4th placed playoff Tkachiev beat
Fressinet 1.5-0.5 and the final Adams beat Lautier 2-0 including a 28 move
win in the final game.
