International correspondence chess has been organised since 1928, when first ICSB and then IFSB were formed, succeeded by ICCA in 1946 and then, on 22nd March 1951, by formal constitution of the International Correspondence Chess Federation, ICCF.

ICCF organises the official World CC Individual Championships, the CC Olympiads for countries, Zonal Championships and international CC tournaments for all standards of chess players, whether games are played using postal, fax or Email communications. It awards the only official International Correspondence Chess Titles, of which there are currently circa 1500 International CC Grandmasters, Senior International Masters, International Masters, Lady GMs and IMs and International Arbiters, which titles are also adopted by FIDE, the World over the board chess federation (established in 1924).

In celebration of its 50th Jubilee, ICCF will be organising four special events, which will enable chess players of all standards, to participate in FREE tournaments, each having very attractive prizes.
