Ikaros 2009
The preparations of Ikaros Chess Festival 2009, the traditional chess event
(this is the 32nd edition) that takes place every summer in Ikaria island, in
Greece are under way!
The main event of the festival, the International Aegean Open Championship takes
place from 11th till 19th of July 2009. It is a 9 round swiss event with prize
fund 3600 Euros in total (1st prize 1000 Euros, special money prizes for ladies
and veterans).
Special conditions for GMs/IMs and WGMs/WIMs are provided.
Special discounts for juniors, families and club teams are also offered.
